RECORD BREAKING RESULTS
WOW!
The results are back from the last exam session and they are our best
results ...EVER! 121 Distinctions (over 80%) and 45 Merits (over 60%) with an
average mark of 81.8 %. You can’t
ask for better than that. A huge
well-done to all our pupils for excelling themselves and parents for their
support.
A special mention goes to Dane, Thomas
and Harvey who all got Distinction for their Grade 3 modern, (this is the first
time we have had three boys entered in one exam so for them all the get top
marks is brilliant). Also to Rosie,
Claire-Louise, Sophie and Vicky who gained fantastic results for their Advanced
1 Modern (normally taken by students at full-time vocational college).
We are delighted to report that one of
our senior girls, Vicky Fisk (known to lots of our pupils as she is also one of
our teaching assistants) has successfully auditioned for full-time vocational
dance training next year. Vicky has
been accepted by Urdang and Birds College and has opted for the latter.
This is the dance “Oxbridge” equivalent so a real achievement.
Well done Vicky.
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR YOUTH AMBASSADOR
Lowenna Hosken has been selected to be a
National Youth Dance Ambassador for Great Britain.
The role includes advocating youth dance,
lobbying politicians and representing “Youth Dance England” at different
events in the UK. Our
congratulations to her.
More good news...we are delighted to let
you know that one of our teachers who will be known to our senior pupils from
Major Ballet classes, Cathy Bonds, has given birth to a little girl called
Darcey Jennifer Bonds —a future Bev-Lyner!
A big welcome back to Suzi Keating who
has joined our team of teachers on a Monday night.
Suzi trained at Bev-Lyn before doing her degree in Dance at the Royal
Academy of Dance. It’s great to have
Suzi back at Bev-Lyn and she is definitely inspiring the older students.
